Penn Medicine has a reputation of providing excellent care for patients with the latest technology in medicine and treatment. Unfortunately, the staff at this location have poor bedside manners and their attitudes are not warm or welcoming. It can take months to be seen by a physician here depending on the practice. I take Septa here but I've seen how awful the parking can be. I hope that these issues can be improved so that patients will feel inclined to come here instead of traveling into the city.

Great Doctors! Poor Customer Service waiting in line for over 35 mins to be checked out! Only had one employee at the desk I get it there under staff but still to be check out. Everyone there look so miserable working there. Then the Manager Director over hearing our conversation with my mom. About waiting so long that we can just leave because we already paid. But as she heard that interrupting me and my mom by being extremely rude. Telling us she get someone to be with us as soon as possible.But ran off into the office being pissed and never came back so unprofessional.

I gave up on trying to schedule an appointment. A maze of phone menus and a receptionist that makes it very clear that she would much rather be doing something other than her job.

It is no surprise to me that this facility scored so low in the overview. The whole place is full of asinine, ignorant receptionists that would just as soon spit on you than help you. They all appear to hate their jobs & they seem to revel in informing every new patient that there is a waiting list. Not just a week or two, but these ridiculous people expect a new patient to wait as long as 3 months. This place is a complete waste of time, spare yourself the agony.

My experience is in dermatology. I got a wart and called for an appointment, and was put on a waiting list. I did a home treatment and a few days later I got a call from scheduling saying there was a cancellation. Before I took the appointment, I asked to speak to a nurse and I asked the nurse to verity with the doctor that I should come in and could get treatment even after I did my home treatment. I was very very explicit because I had a high deductible PPO and had to take pto from work to come. The nurse called me back, told me the doctor could still treat the wart and to come. So I came, waited over an hour for the doctor. She was in the room for less than 2 minutes, was very robotic- Dr Brown I believe She said I can't treat this, you treated it already. Come back in 3 weeks!! Literally what I verified so such would not happen. When I tried to explain this to her, she would not give me the time of day The front desk said that I would be waived the appointment fee because they messed up. It is now 7 months later and Nancy Melendez from the derma billing dept continues harass me with billing letters, saying she will send me to collections. I even have a complaint out with the larger hospital, and my bill is frozen, but the individual dept at radnor sends me letters with handwritten address threatening collections Not only is this dept, incompetent, in -knowledgeable, they are acting out of policy and possibly illegally and are extremely unprofessional NEVER GO. I have a science background and know when I see poorly trained people. I came to penn medicine because I was new to PA and thought the name was highly regarded. I was WRONG. So that the next person doesn't make this mistake, don't go!!! Any other option would be better.
