I have got to give credit where credit is due. I have lived all over the U.S. and I have had to change Pharmacies many times. Where I grew up (Ohio) there were many family owned Pharmacies and many of them were great, I was a child so the interaction was limited but I can always recall my mother receiving a lot of attention and time to explain many medications as well as over the counter alternatives and that always stuck with me. I have never experienced that in my adult life until I came to the Stoneridge Professional Pharmacy where my Dr's office is located. At first it just seemed like a prescription dispensing place as any other Pharmacy is but it is much, much more than that. They offer a lot of information, they help so far above and beyond the required effort for everything you could ask for and they even take the time to remember your name. Even if they don't carry something they will call and find it for you and give you directions to get there. If something they have is to expensive they will offer an alternative elsewhere to fit your budget. They truly do care about you and your welfare and it shows on every visit. I sincerely wish that every place offered this level of courtesy and attention to their customers. I really can't compliment this business enough and I would tell you it is well worth the extra time to drive over there for prescriptions. I live in San Jose, work up in San Ramon and Walnut Creek and still make it to Pleasanton for my Dr and Pharmacy. Check it out, you'll be very happy. There is one con though, some of their items in store are pricey and some medicines they have can be slightly higher than chains like Long's or Walgreens but some of the basic prescriptions are considerably cheaper than other places so it is a trade off.
