Always better prices than anything around and they won't make you wait in line. They're always opening lanes and shuttling people to faster ones. Great example of why San Antonio loves HEB.
The pharmacy was very busy when I showed up. The pharmacy techs and pharmacists were very professional and courteous. My only gripe has to do with the lack of a notification system to let you know when your prescription is ready.
Cramped at the front and zero room to walk by if it's busy. Aisles are very tight. Workers are 50/50 on being pleasant. Cashier today was more focused on her texts than waiting on me while the guy in the produce was great and friendly. Hit or miss. There is no competition so they treat you how they feel.
Worst customer service I've had by far at HEB. I normally use Walgreens Pharmacy this time I used H-E-B Pharmacy because I knew I needed to grocery shop while my daughter was at the dentist office. I came through the drive-thru to pick up the prescription it was ready however they have not verified insurance. They had her name and date of birth so I'm sure they could have verified it however I gave her social and the attendant said that it was not active. I asked her to look again and gave her the information again she told me I needed to go verify it and I needed to drive back around and wait. Her tone was very condescending and rude. She argued with me and told me that it was not active. Lo and behold she reran it with the information was given and it was active. I spoke to the pharmacies about my concerned her name was Laura and she should not be working in customer service. If those calls are recorded on the little microphone through the drive-thru you will hear her state that it is not her job to verify the insurance it is the technician job
Have come here 2-3 times and my prescription is never filled on time. Staff never apologizes for it and often don’t get my medicine on time.
