I have had a really good experience with this pharmacy. They fill my mom's prescriptions and deliver them at a substantial savings to her. The delivery is a Godsend to us because she is disabled and can't pick them up. I've never had a problem getting through to them by phone. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. The pharmacist even patiently explained a very complicated insurance issue to me recently and made sure to answer all my questions and didn't rush me off the phone. They always seem very sympathetic and are helpful the few times that I've had to call. The fact that I don't have to call very often is a testament to what good work they do, because we have a lot of prescriptions filled there.
Loudoun Family Pharmacy provided excellent service for three prescriptions required for cataract surgery. Two of the three Rx were not covered by my prescription plan and it looked like they were going to be pretty pricey. I don't know how Loudoun did it but the three Rx cost less than one Rx from my prescription plan. Kudos to Loudoun and their staff
I ordered my prescription on 9/22. Still have not received it. I called this morning. Spoke to Olu. He needs to be trained on how to speak to customers. The nature of my call was no receipt of any scripts. He never apologized. He stated UPS damaged the box and it arrived on Friday. I asked why they didn't call and he said because they aren't open on the weekends. However, the shipper receives an email when a package is damaged or refused and shipping back. I get those emails all the time at work. Bad customer service on their end. He was unable to tell me when I would be receiving my script.
DO NOT GIVE THESE UNCARING PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! Dealing with Loudoun Pharmacy has been a nightmare. After 4 weeks of trying to obtain a prescription, I am giving up and going back to my doctor to ask them to prescribe me a similar medication that I can fill at my regular pharmacy. I am also informing my doctor of what a terrible experience I have had so that they might think twice about sending Loudoun pharmacy their business. I would rather pay more for the prescription than deal anymore with this uncaring company. The Loudoun customer service reps say they will call you back and they do not, or they just hang up on you. If I could give zero stars, I would. They clearly do not care about their customers.
The way this pharmacy is run is abhorrent. If I could give them zero stars I would. I recently moved from the area and needed my prescriptions transferred from this pharmacy to my new one. I called them initially to do the transfer, and they had me get my new pharmacy to to call them. When my new pharmacy called them (twice), they were put on hold for 20 minutes, sent to voice mail, and hung up-on. My experience calling them was not any better. After leaving a voicemail about the situation, (because no one ever answers the phone), I got a call back and they had not even listened to the message. How they handle business is unprofessional and outright dangerous. If this is how they treat everyone, they could seriously harm someone.
