Recommended by my dr., this is a friendly pharmacy off the hospital where you can get compound medicines. They allow call ins for some, and I was able to call and have my husband pick up - good thing since I was laid up at home!
Always personable when I stop in. I have never waited more than 15 minutes which beats the heck out of other pharmacies. Once they didn't have all my meds in stock so they had it delivered to me via courier. Above and beyond anything I would expect from a pharmacy.
My wife left the big chain pharmacies because they could never seem to fill her order properly - ~15 RX's per month. Always fighting their auto-refill system, not getting straight answers when issues, a few flat out deceptions, and simply ongoing poor customer service even to the point of rudeness. She left and came to Perry Drug based on a doctor's recommendation. I resisted as I wanted the convenience of the larger chain pharmacies. That went okay until they messed me around a few times. I gave up and followed suit and went to Perry Drug. That was about a 12 to 16 months ago. I must say with great confidence... It is a wonderful feeling when the pharmacy staff knows me and my wife by name. They know our health issues and have always taken care of us. They've have dealt with our insurance carriers and doctors as needed, they have offered rebates as they are available, they have gone out of their way in after hour scenarios to help us. They have made the RX world an easier place for us to navigate. We are ADDICTED to the great service we get from Perry Drug!!!
Going to Perry Drug is one of the highlights of my month. Practically every one of my drugs, take a prior authentication, and they always helpful and actually care about helping me. I appreciate everything they do.
A little compassion and sensitivity goes a long way and is essential in the healthcare field. I will be transferring my prescription. The pharmacist and tech were rude and impatient with my questions regarding my prescription and my options when the compound was not covered by insurance. I left feeling unnecessarily upset and discouraged. I hope they read this and treat future customers with more patience and respect.
